This lesson goes over basic subtraction with a difference up to 10. Have your child look over the examples given. Practice problems will be given.
Tip: Tell your child to think about subtraction like giving away objects they have. For example, if your child has 2 pears and they give away 1 pear, they now have 1 pear left. (Refer to the Subtraction Activity on the next page for more information.)
